Romantic Travel Destinations

With Valentine’s Day around the corner, it’s appropriate to talk about romantic travel.  If you ask my wife, you will discover I am not the most romantic guy.  So, I will not claim to be an expert on this subject by any means.  BUT I have discovered some great ideas for those that are looking for romantic getaways.  And I probably need to start considering more travel with my wife that fits that description.

Regardless of where you go, it is important to take time to be with that person that is closest to you.  It is very easy to lose touch with each other with all the craziness life brings.  During the few trips I have taken time to be with Kathy, it has definitely been a blessing.  We are completely different personalities (opposites attract?) and we have very different perspectives on life.  Kathy could work 24/7 and be perfectly content.  If she is not on the job, she is cooking, cleaning, or doing any other work that needs to be done around the house.  I’m always looking for ways to avoid work to have some fun.

With that said, I think my love of travel brings an important balance to our relationship.  During those times, Kathy may get up tight preparing for the trip, but by the end, I definitely see her start to relax with the stress going away.  She even admits she enjoys someone else taking care of all the cooking and the cleaning.  The removal of every-day cares and concerns gives us time to focus on being together.   Whether it be short or long, take some time to spend with your loved ones to re-kindle the romance that brought you together.
