I will continue this week with some more examples of ways I am able to help my clients with their travel plans. I have recently worked with some couples that wanted to do some European travel. One couple wanted to do a land tour in Spain, while another was interested in a Rhine River cruise. Neither couple really had any idea where to begin and that was where I was able to help. Whenever I hear from people about their travel interests, I take time to research the resources available. So, I have gained an extensive knowledge and resource base for numerous travel destinations. I have a library of brochures that are easier to peruse for information than most online websites.
When the couple with interest in Spain contacted me, I already had multiple resources in mind for guided land tours. I sent them some options from reputable vendors to look at with a range of prices and itineraries. The couple was able to look at these choices to determine the itinerary they wanted and the price that worked for them. With the dates, vendor and itinerary selected, I quoted a package that included all flight and hotel arrangements as part of the package. They had an all-inclusive price (minus dining) and I did all the leg work for them. They gave me their payment information and I took care of the rest.
In regard to the Rhine River cruise, I had already been researching various river cruise lines and was able to give them some brochures to peruse various cruise lines info and available itineraries and dates. They had little knowledge about which cruise lines were good for Europe, so I told them the information I had learned. I knew this couple was also Disney enthusiasts, so I recommended AmaWaterways which Disney uses for their Adventures By Disney river cruises. They had never heard of them but decided to use them knowing that Disney has high standards of quality. I was again able to put together a total package including pre-cruise hotel stay, gratuities, transfers and flights.
