This week I am going to begin a series on ways that my business can be of help to you when planning your travel experiences. I can say that I have learned a great deal about the travel industry in the past couple years that can save you time, effort and money. And I remind you that I do not charge any fees beyond the normal charges of you travel arrangements.
I became a travel agent after I retired from teaching because I knew I needed to replace my passion with another passion. I knew I enjoyed planning our family vacations. I am a detail-oriented person and I like making sure all the details are in order, so the trip goes smoothly. To me, it’s like putting together a big puzzle and enjoying the finished product after it is completed.
When I tell people that I am a travel agent, it is common for them to respond by saying, “I didn’t know travel agents still existed. You can do everything online yourself now.” My response to that is, have you ever seen the overwhelming amount of information available online? Where do you begin? How do you know if you are getting a good deal? Where do you get answers to your questions? Who are the best companies to book with?
In the next few weeks, I’ll be telling you what I have learned and show you how I can help you solve the issues and problems that you may face when planning those difficult or new travel experiences.
