I remember the Summer trips our family took to the Florida for vacation. I also remember the numerous signs ad barns I passed in Tennessee telling me to “See Rock City”. Well, I finally got to see it on my recent trip to Chattanooga to visit a family friend. So, I can officially check that off my bucket list! It was actually very interesting and I would recommend anyone seeing it. One of the best parts (aside from walking through interesting rock formations) was the view of 7 states from the overlook. I was standing in northmost Georgia and could see the tips of mountains in Kentucky. That meant I was looking across the entire state of Tennessee. Pretty cool!
It was very nice to get a little time away with my wife and daughter as I was their “Uber” driver for the trip. That’s a little inside family joke as I now drive Uber at my local airport. Anyway, that short jaunt down to Tennessee definitely brought back a lot of childhood memories that I cherish. Traveling to new places, was definitely one of my favorite experiences as I grew. Now that I am planning travel for myself and others to beautiful resorts and destinations, I was surprised about how enjoyable a simple to could be.
So, take some time to get away and spend time with your loved ones. It truly does provide some of life’s most treasured moments.
